Our firm was started in 1898 by Thomas J. Byrne. A few years later, his brother, Peter Francis, joined up. In the 1930’s, Thomas Jr. came on board, along with William P., son of Peter Francis.

Richard, also son of Peter Francis, joined in 1946, and saw his own son Stephen enter the firm in 1970. Daniel Byrne, the youngest of Richard’s seven children, joined in 1984. Stephen’s son Matthew then joined in 1999.

As of 2008, Byrne, Byrne and Company consists of 20 employees with extensive professional experience and educational degrees in insurance, finance, and the liberal arts. Our revenue is divided equally between the property and casualty and employee benefits sides of the industry, making us a veritable “one-stop shop” for our clients.
